Sixxcess

There are two images of Sixxcess I have found on the google search engine. There must have been a Sixxcess dressed in a baseball cap, a baseball jacket (or a fashionable athletic jacket) and what looks to be a bald hair style. Sixxcess must have been rapping with a different form of swagger back then . .but has recently become a Bob Marely'esque icon with dread locks. He's usually seen wearing t-shirts  and still has the b-boy attidute as seen in his video "2K- featuring Sixxcess". In that video he is seen playing basketball yet worrying about the plight of the world through 911 catastrophies and war.

These days, you can find Sixxcess rapping in Washington, DC at a club called Red Lounge - on 14 st. NW. You'll see him with a DJ behind him and audience full of Washingtonians checking the scene out. I'm due to stop by the Red Lounge this coming Wednesday . .so I'll probably add a part two to this article - featuring the stage presence of Sixxcess as seen in person by me.

The whole brand of Sixxcess looks decent from my point of view. He has contacted every social network on the internet to further his goals and spread the word. I like his reverbnation page - you can visit at www.reverbnation.com/sixxcess You'll see an album picture of a  school class room depicting what looks like a characterization of the peanuts or cartoon characters you might find during a holiday special. His other "pics" feature either him jumping up and down to the music while his dreads bounce in an upward motion . . or you'll find that b-boy pic where he was bald and probably rapping Run DMC style. Today, he portrays sort of a southern style of rapping - almost like Camelion but with dreads and a Bob Marley, laid back attitude. He's also seen in a pic on his instagram (found @iamsixxcess ) with an unusual looking bong - possibly manufactured from the far east. He's been rooted in the b-boy world . .but found a new beginning in a Jamaican style persona and laid back festivities with a southern form of swagger. Oh yeah, his cut "Swagger" seems to have drawn attention. He was awarded the DMV artist of the year and is know for three of his seven mix tapes that can be found on the internet: "Evolution:, "Sixxcess", and "Behind the Music".

I chose three videos you might like to see . . .but if you look up "sixxcess, youtube", you'll find two or three live videos and a few youtubes from the beginning of time in Sixcess's wold. Regardless, I chose "Oh Well" - which looks to be his most recent endeavor . . ."Smash" - probably one of his first videos filmed by a talented director with decent camera work - and "2K featuring Sixxcess" where we find Sixxcess on the basketball court shooting balls in dread locks while competing with college age basketball pros.

The whole concept of Sixxcess probably has a lot to do with success. Sixxcess is quoted as saying "I am Sixxcess so I shall be Sixxcessful".  His play on words means he might be serious about making it big . .but if things slow down, he'll jovially play a character who works hard at entertaining his audience with comfort and "likeablility". Judging from his audiences on two stages (one of which at Red Lounge) He's starting to create a buzz. You can't help but bump into him on the internet . .. and with a little bit more money and resources, I can see Sixxcess becoming very Sixxcessful. . . .
